Current version: 1.0.3 (2021-12-23)
NexPostFacto for Lion --------------------- A patch to install OS X 10.7 Lion on Early 2006 Macs which have had their CPU upgraded to a Core 2 Duo, made from scratch with careful testing and a "less is more" patching philosophy. Supported Macs -------------- iMac4,1/4,2 (CPU upgraded) Macmini1,1 (CPU upgraded) Instructions ------------ For a video walkthrough, click here. Thanks to Tech for PC & Mac. The video shows the 10.8 32-bit kernel version, but the same steps apply to this version, except that there is no graphics package to install at the end. Format an 8GB+ USB, or hard drive partition, as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Extract the zip and open Terminal. cd to the directory created Run: ./oipatch.sh /path/to/Install\ Mac\ OS\ X\ Lion.app /Volumes/USBOrPartitionNameHere IMPORTANT: This script does not work if run on an already created installer USB, or if your installer is very small and does not contain the full operating system. It only works on the full, multi-gigabyte installer app. You MUST select Y to erase the partition or the script will not work! Boot from the USB or partition and install the OS normally. You don't need to do anything special with updates. Caveats compared to official 10.7 --------------------------------- There is no recovery partition, which also means that Find My Mac won't work. Booting into safe mode via the Shift key will fail due to the way the compatibility check is bypassed. Thanks ------ lexploitdev for inventing the name All the testers (see the About app for credits)
